A Foundation in Design
With a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph and professional design experience in Niagara, I bring both formal training and practical expertise to every project.
Early years of working alongside local landscape contractors, leading in-house design, and coordinating projects from concept through to construction, shaped my approach — blending creative vision with practical execution, I have a strong understanding of how designs translate in the field.
Today, HomeGrown Designs brings together formal education, real-world construction knowledge, and a refined design perspective rooted in the Niagara region.
Design in Every Detail
Beyond client projects, my passion for design extends into my personal pursuits. I have personally renovated my own home inside and out, along with several investment properties — continuously refining how spaces function, flow, and evolve.
This ongoing work strengthens my understanding of materials, scale, and long-term livability — ensuring each outdoor space feels cohesive, purposeful, and enduring.
Where It All Began
HomeGrown began as a conversation around a family fire — a name that reflects where I come from and the core values that guide my work.
Family has always been central to who I am. The pride, care, and integrity instilled in me early on shape how I design and how I operate this business.
While the spaces we create are elevated and architectural in execution, they are always grounded in something meaningful: creating environments where connection, celebration, and everyday living can flourish.
When I’m not designing, I’m at home with my husband Jesse, our daughter Adeline, and our Siberian Husky Sasha. We’re often indulging in family barbecues that stretch long into the evening — filled with music, laughter, and connection.
Those moments are a constant reminder of why creating meaningful spaces matters.
